It suits people who want the west coast without the crowd, and families who would rather have a garden than a strip. It suits anyone who wants to walk to dinner rather less, and swimmers least of all — this shoreline is rock shelf and rips rather than a swimming beach, and the temple's own cove is for looking at.
The temple is reachable on foot across the rocks at low tide and cut off at high. Sunset is the event and the coaches come for it, so go early in the day for the site or late for the light and accept the company.
