Seririt is a market town on the north-west coast beyond Lovina, and the junction where the road south over the mountains meets the coast. The coast either side is long, black, and almost entirely undeveloped, which is the appeal: a beachfront room here costs a fraction of the same thing in the south.
It suits travellers who want quiet and value and have their own transport, and anyone making the crossing to or from the west. It suits people who want choice of anything — restaurants, beaches, company — considerably less.
The hot springs at Banjar and the Brahma Vihara monastery above them are a short drive east, and Lovina is close enough that its dolphin boats and restaurants are an easy evening out.
